Join the Croft Poles team on April 11th, 2025, for an action-packed day on the rolling hills of the Hikurangi Golf Club. Every year, we choose different charities or community groups to benefit, and we are proud to have raised $34,832 so far in the five years the tournament has run.
What defines our tournament, now in its sixth year, is that different industries from around Whangarei will be pitted against one another to duel it out for ultimate supremacy. Marketing is the defending champs from 2024 and will no doubt be hungry for another victory!
This year, we have a massive $50,000 hole-in-one prize, thanks to Finance NZ and Insured North Ltd. The winnings, if struck, would be split between the player and F.O.R.C.E. This is the first time our little tourney has had something like this on offer, and we are stoked with their support—we’re confident it will generate some additional interest!
Teams will consist of three people (one big change this year!), and they will play an 18-hole Ambrose Tournament. Challenges will be placed around the course that golfing experience may not help with. Entry is $200 per team.
This year's benefactor will be F.O.R.C.E. (For Our Real Clean Environment). They are a charitable trust aiming to empower our Whangārei communities to restore the natural environment through environmental and waste minimisation projects. You will have no doubt seen them mentioned across many different publications and platforms, as they run the Love Whangārei Monthly Clean Up. Every month, volunteers come together to remove waste from the environment in response to issues in the community, such as fly-tipping and illegal dumping of rubbish, to protect wildlife and restore a clean environment: https://www.force.org.nz/about-us/
